This is my biography. It's a summary of stuff I've done.


Mike Rylander is an actor, host, writer, producer, comedian, DJ and dad who has worked in a wide variety of mediums and genres, including film, television, commercials, theater, digital media, audiobooks, radio, professional sports and live events.

Some of Mike's acting credits include Parks and Recreation (NBC), Jane The Virgin (The CW), The Young and the Restless (CBS), The Gambler (Paramount Pictures), and Hollywood Adventures, (produced by Justin Lin, producer of The Fast and The Furious franchise).

He has also appeared in almost 100 commercials, including a spot for Doritos that debuted during Super Bowl XLIV and was once the “Most Watched Television Commercial of All-Time”.

As a host, Mike has worked in numerous capacities, including game show host, hosting Play With Caution, a limited-run game show on Disney XD, and 21 Cards, a regional Emmy-nominated game show on The CW Twin Cities.

Mike was also an Arena Host in both the NBA and NCAA for 12 years, working for the Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, and UCLA Bruins. He has also hosted at several large sporting events, including the Pac-12 Basketball Tournament, Baron Davis Celebrity Kickball Game, Shot-Of-A-Lifetime NBA Playoff Tour, and JCC Maccabi Games, to name a few.

From 2014-2015, Mike was the Host, Writer and Producer of two satirical “weird news” web series, So That Happened… and WTFark!, the latter of which received distribution from The Huffington Post and Fark.com, and both were produced by Ora TV, a digital network launched by broadcast legend Larry King, In 20-months, Mike produced over 400 videos with over 10 million total views, and his work received positive press from Slate, GQ, BuzzFeed, Los Angeles Times, Cosmopolitan and The Hollywood Reporter, among others.
